Leona is a proud Woopaburra & Kuku Yalanji First Nations woman
from Qld. Leona now calls Sydney home having lived and worked in the Redfern and
Waterloo area for over 30 years. Leona is a mother, grandmother, registered midwife and artist & is passionate about supporting the recruitment and retention of the Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander nursing and midwifery workforce to increase the health and well-being of our Indigenous communities.
Leona is also very passionate about serving her local community and is a board member of the Aboriginal Medical Service in Redfern
